Fundraise with Friends and Family

  • Host a charity event: from a Garden party to a Music or quiz night at home for friends

  • Host an afternoon tea or coffee morning at home and ask for donations: either bake your own cakes or buy some from the shops. Make your own Cure4DM cake flags - click here.

  • Turn your gardening skills into a charity sale. If you have green fingers you could sell your plants.

  • Have a clear out and sell your unwanted items at a car boot sale or put them up on eBay or 'market place'.

  • Invite friends and family round for a dinner party. Make it a themed evening with food from around the world such

as a 'curry' or 'Italian' night.

  • If you fancy getting fit without the pressure of a mass event, you could do a number of skips or squats per day for a week, or commit to a quick run every day.

Fundraise at work

  • Sweepstake. Is there a big event coming up? Choose anything from the Cheltenham races to Eurovision, charge  for entry and give the winner and Cure4DM half the prize money each.

  • Bake Sales are always popular at work! No-one can resist a cake or sweet treat especially when it’s helping to raise money. Cure4DM have cake flags you can download.

  • Share your skills. If you have  a skill like knitting or if you’re a yoga instructor teach your colleagues during the lunch hour and ask them for a donation to attend.

Fundraise in your community

  • Ask your local pub if you can hold a quiz night. Charge teams an entry fee to play, you can download some quiz questions. Local businesses are often happy to supply prizes for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and last place teams if they know it's for charity.

  • For gardeners, set up a plant stall at the end of your drive on in your garden, let friends, the local gardening club and local online village sites for know your address, times and dates.
  • Host a 'special day' at your club, perhaps golf, tennis or fitness club. Even if you’re not already a member, speak to your local club and charge people a fee to come along. You can even hold a raffle on the day.
  • Sell a skill. Are you a talented face painter? Are you good at arts & crafts? Attend your local Village fete, Christmas or summer fayre and sell your skills. Let people know that you are also donating the profits to Cure4DM

Give in celebration

Do you have a birthday, engagement or anniversary coming up?

We are so grateful when people ask friends and family to make a donation to Cure4DM in lieu of a gift. Guests are often delighted to know they are giving a truly valued gift for you and our cause.
