Tell Your Story...and
raise DM Awareness!
If you've been affected by Canine Degenerative Myelopathy, one of the most important things you can do to help us raise awareness is to share your story. It's the quickest way to get someone to go from thinking, "that will never happen to my dog” to starting to think "what if that was my dog?".
How do I tell my story?
Would you like a Sample Press Release to Help you?

Here are a few examples of how you can share your story:

-
Interviews - to raise awareness of Degenerative Myelopathy, its symptoms, what it is, how it affects your companion, what you did to help your dog, how it affects yourself caring for your companion, from talking to your local newspaper or radio station, to being interviewed for the national press or appearing on a national TV channel. Let them know, together with the Cure4DM charity, you are doing something about DM!

-
Send a press release to tell your story, and let them know about the journey you went through with your beloved companion, how it can affect many breeds and cross breeds of dogs and how research is needed to find treatments to stop other dogs going through this terrible disease, similar to ALS and how people can help by donating to the Cure4DM charity

-
Send us a case study which we can use on our own website or promotional material to show others you understand what it is like to go through the DM journey.
-
Give a talk about your personal experience of Degenerative Myelopathy with your companion to local clubs, groups or at a dog related event. Let them know how the Cure4DM charity is the UK source for DM information
